- I had in mind a renaissance styled ring when I made this 18k gold ring and bezel-set the boat-shaped chalcedony cabochon. The luscious chalcedony is an uncommon orange color.

- Chalcedony is often found in blue, and less commonly in the bright orange seen in this stone. Other colors of chalcedony have distinct names.
