18k Gold Ring with Orange Chalcedony: $1890 sold
18 Karat Gold Ring
Magnificent 18 karat gold ring with bezel-set orange chalcedony cabachon.
I had in mind a renaissance styled ring when I made this 18k gold ring and bezel-set the boat-shaped chalcedony cabochon. The luscious chalcedony is an uncommon orange color.
This is a luxury item, without a doubt. Including the large yummy 15ct orange chalcedony, the ring weighs 28 grams, or just under 1 ounce.
Price: $1890.
Orange Chalcedony
Luscious boat-shaped orange chalcedony cabachon set in 18 karat gold.
Chalcedony is often found in blue, and less commonly in the bright orange seen in this stone. Other colors of chalcedony have distinct names. Carnelian is a type of chalcedony that is typically brownish-red. Jasper and agate are other forms of chalcedony. It is a hard stone (6 to 7 on the Mohs scale) and is a strong and durable gem for rings.
In early times, chalcedony was used to make seal impressions in hot wax, to seal letters.

From the top, this beautiful ring resembles an eye and has an Egyptian flair to it.
